Über mich
I was born in Hamburg. I studied languages in Berlin and graduated as a state examined translator for the English language. After several years abroad studying Spanish and French and taking painting classes I returned to Berlin to study art and design. Subsequently I worked with a graphic designer for two years in Cologne.
I have been living in Berlin and Mallorca/Balearics for many years and made myself a name in the course of various exhibitions in art galleries, restaurants and hotels both in Mallorca and Germany.
My favoured painting techniques are watercolour and acrylic but I have also done oil paintings and experimentes successfully with encaustic, wax and other techniques. I am also known for my unusual figures of papiermaché and sculptures of objets trouvé as well as imaginative light objects.
Subject of my paintings are Mediterranean and personal impressions - mainly large coloutful paintings radiating vitality and vigour.
Currently I am living in Selva de Mallorca spending several months of the year in Berlin, however, where I also own a little studio.
